Congratulations to Dan Daley, VT CEP Instructor, for being awarded the 2018 Bob O'C O'Connor Award.  He has been involved in the Coaching Education Program for over 20 years.  His passion for the game of hockey is evident when he runs a clinic.

LEVEL 4 CLINICS
by Larry Rocha posted 5/20/2018

LEVEL 4 CLINICS IN THE NEW ENGLAND DISTRICT:

Please help spread the word about the New England District’s Level 4 Clinics. I have attached the information on both clinics. I just want the coaches that need Level 4 (or want to obtain a Level 4 Clinic) are aware of the Level 4 Clinics that are available so they do not miss the opportunity to remain current before the deadline of December 31 (or October 31 for Split Season). Please let me know if you have any questions.
NOTE: If a coach obtains their Level 4 Clinic before the Level 5 Coaching Symposium held in Lake Placid, NY August 23-26 they will be able to attend the Level 5 Coaching Symposium. Normally a coach can only do one clinic in a given year but there is an exception for Level 5.

Level 4 clinics in New England this Summer:
June 23 & 24 in Concord, NH
August 4 & 5 in Hartford, CT

Body Checking Study in Youth Hockey in Canada

Study of the Body Checking in Youth Hockey in Canada helps support USA Hockey's change in the age group (14U) when Body Checking is allowed.  It is the coaches responsibility at the 12U age group to teach body checking (both giving and receiving) so the players are prepared at the 14U level.
